The original plan was just to go to Pibel Lake SRA and Niobrara SP.
However, we had gotten a pretty early start.. and none of us had
anything pressing to get back for... so we decided to go on and
pick up the other 2 posts in the north central part of the state.
Smith Falls State Park is 135 miles west of Niobrara State Park,
driving along the northern edge of Nebraska. We would pass through
Springview, the town where Dave and I grew up.. and where all 4 of
our parents are buried. Dave said we could continue the drive.. as
long as we stopped at the cemetery.
Springview is about 100 miles from Niobrara State Park, Smith Falls
about 35 miles from there.
