It was just 19 miles from Smith Falls SP on into Valentine, where we
stopped for gas and McDonalds. From there, it was about 30 miles
south and west to Merritt Dam and our next post.

As far as drives go, this was my favorite part of the trip. Right
through the middle of the sandhills.
