Spent a lovely week starting in Marin County (visiting friends) followed by a drive down the coast to LA in November last.
We did not go to San Francisco (just through it on our way to Marin Co from the airport) but did a lot on the Marin side, including checking out the parks at north end of the Golden Gate Bridge and a driving and walking a bit around Mt. Tamalpais State Park and Point Reyes National Seashore. It was a holiday weekend and we couldn't even find a place to park the car at Muir Woods, but wish we could have. Enjoyed it all.
If you'll have time to drive down the Pacific Coast Highway I can share what all we did along the way. Abundant great things to see and do!
