How many Native Americans think it's offensive? Unless you are Native American, I suppose it would be hard to really understand the historical connotations of that name.
I personally would never, ever use that name to describe my Native American countrymen.
Would you call a Native American that name to his face? If not, why not? If you wouldn't use it to describe a Native American, then what honor is there is using it for a team name? Just some thoughts...
