Remember the great photos you shared with us of your climbs of Middle Teton? And remember some shots across to Grand Teton, one of which you emlarged with circles around the climbers so we could see them? I printed two to take to my dentist because he had climbed Grand Teton with guides maybe 5 years ago. He was thrilled and delighted because he had no photos of the climb, much less a photo showing what climbers looked like acending the peak! Also he told me that when he made that climb he was in WAY over his head. His climbing partner from here in Portland, OR who booked the trip turned pale and gave up when they came to the last sheer wall. But my dentist soldiered on to the top.
He does not do that type of climbing anymore because he took an eight hundred foot fall on Mt. Hood in Oregon and broke his neck. He was lucky to survive much less return to dentistry, but he seems fine now a few years later. And that is why those photos of Grand Teton were particulary poignant to him. So, THANK YOU ROB! I like my dentist to be happy.
