This is a 2006 photo from my first, totally accidental, discovery of WGR. I was on my way to Phelps Lake Overlook and happened to notice the cabins, which were deserted except for a colony of marmots who popped out of holes in the roofs to look around and the approaching person (me of course). Then there was no sign or even parking pullout, as I recall. It HAS come a long way since 2006!
