The notion to cruise is my friend's...she has several previous cruises under her belt, and likes them. If we pull this off, I will let her make the decisions about the route and the boat. If it doesn't come off, I still have to visit some relatives and sites in Washington, maybe I'll be in time for a niece's wedding. Was only planning on bringing the car as far as Seattle, not on the boat.
Your adventures sound wonderful! Was in Alaska in 2003 for a week, spent time in Anchorage, Seward, Glenallen, Gulkana, Talkeetna and Valdez, and got in two days at the National Archives in Anchorage. Was fortunate enough to be traveling with a very knowledgeable Alaskan historian, who had to re-photograph some of his images in digital, so we went a lot of places.
