We had a picnic lunch at Ash Hollow, about 2 miles from the bottom of Windlass Hill, where many of the pioneers also rested and had a break.

You can just see the water from the spring under the bluffs. This was a favorite campsite of the travelers because the area had water, wood, and grass for the stock.
