We made it to the building just as the door was being unlocked... We had headed out on a trail.. I had stepped in the mud and slid down a slope... walked 3 miles... and taken ... several.. pictures... and we got to the visitor center JUST as it was being opened for the day. Dave had beaten us there by about 10 minutes.

Joshua and I drank some water... and we all paid admission ($5/each) and the ranger gave us a personal tour.

The bones of over 600 bison are found here, along with hunting and cooking tools.. from about 10,000 years ago. Most have been left where they were found. Work continues to be done trying to figure out exactly what happened. They believe these bones are from a time period of about 600 years!
