So far as privacy goes, it is gone.
I now know that walking in the woods might be recorded on some crittercam. That's how they know there are black bears in southern Ohio thanks to hunters who can't hunt anymore without some aid. So far in the last month, my computer information has been encrypted and an attempt to get me to pay to get it back occurred. Even sent me visual aids as to how to prepare the money pouch. Then somehow the computer was taken over and ad after ad after ad appeared until the computer didn't function. By the time that was solved at least 100 malware were found on the system. A credit card that I use only online was hijacked too. Yes we have security. The ability to track us in many ways with the cell phones continues in new ways. As a friend of mine says, okay so " they" know where she is at all times - just have nothing to hide." Of course, that tracking does save lives occasionally. Yes, I use a computer to make my living. Yes, I miss the folks here on this chat page who are now mostly on Facebook. And for sure I miss out on what my family is doing. That is the hardest part.
