Most of the snow from lake effect was south of Buffalo, Buffalo airport (where they do the official measurement) has a very low recorded snow amount for this storm. But the south towns is in the 6-7' measurement. I'm about 40 -50 miles east from that area. We received about 2-3'. Schools have been close since Tuesday - no mail since Monday and none till Friday. I have been waiting for FedEx since Tuesday, maybe by 8 p.m. tonight.
I'm on the east side of Genesee County and the west side is where even more snow was received.
NY State Thruway is still closed from Pa. line to Rochester, NY. It has been a very quick start to winter weather, but maybe up to 60 on Monday!
