We were in the Phoenix/Mesa area about 3 weeks ago. I want a place down there. Sick of our winters. Last year we took a drive through East Saguaro NP. One word, CACTUS! haha I don't think you will have any trouble finding hiking spots around Tucson short or long that will fit how you are feeling.
