It's not a virus (so it won't get into your desktop), but a bug that makes SSL (secure socket layer) server security vulnerable to hackers. So your bank or Amazon or eBay or any of thousands of other major providers and resources might, and through that vulnerability your personal information may be acquired. Call your bank or vendor and make sure they've applied the patch, then go change all your passwords ASAP.
