Sitting here working at the computer a Cooper's Hawk buzzed past
the window so close I thought it might hit the house. The hawk
ended up in the backyard sitting on top of hedge. Sort of on top.

Have you ever seen a hedge hunting Hawk? It is a funny sight.
With hopping and spreading of wings and tail,it would stick it's
head into the hedge. Out would fly a little, probably terrified
bird. Sometimes the hawk would be covered with the branches
except for the head which was stretched out with very intense eyes.
While this was going on, another hawk zoomed past those windows.
(we have lots of windows).

Finally the hawk fell into the hedge, bumping around until it was
on the ground. With immature dignity, it flew down the drive. It
is always fun when the babies come hunting.
