We are the same way. Daughter gets first choice. Big garage sale next. Donate rest to local thrift stores. Then what is really junk gets put out for curbside pick up. Good stuff will be picked up by people who drive buy. Each time we have curbside pickup, there are people who drive around looking for stuff to pick up. I can never understand what they take. I guess some goes to salvage yards for sale as scrap.
