D750, does both, with some issues using certain DX lenses, but I prefer the DX sensor. Been using one since the D70 and for my use, see no reason to change. Put simply, FX harkens back to film, DX began in the digital age with a few lenses, such as the 12-24/f4, designed for it. There are about 2 dozen DX designed lenses, and about 3 times as many FX, which is understandable. BTW, referring to Nikon only. I don't think anyone else offers DX lenses.
