OK, so he used a riverboard to help him get the job done, but it did take 2.5 months to get from Whitehorse in the Yukon Territory to Emmonak, Alaska, just short of the Bering Sea. This is a fascinating story.
Talk about a "mid-life crisis". This fellow is 54 years old, and just retired from a high pressure job in the information technology industry. He decided he wanted to start his life over, and swimming the length of the Yukon River sounded like a good beginning!
