I can't argue that HRC and her husband are "pillars of morality", and you are right about Carter and JFK.

Having said that, I know that we have had presidents who exhibit a fine-tuned moral compass. Either that, or we just haven't caught them being immoral.

I do believe that the fact so many members of the evangelical community could still support Trump in light of his moral weakness is mute testimony supporting your earlier point of how desperate people in Middle America are for change.
