I can't remember how many years ago now but I met John and Patti in person in the parking lot overlooking Swan Lake up on Swan Lake Flats. It was late afternoon and I was just sitting and listening to the birds when he came up to my car to introduce himself in person. We had talked many times via the old Loon page. Once FB came along we would sometimes talk via messenger. He always had a sense for when I needed a friendly word and I will miss that.
RIP my friend.
