Here's the latest update on the snowpack in Montana, with a concentration on southern and southwestern Montana, which always includes information on the Upper Yellowstone River Basin. Of note, the Basin is still above 150% of the long term average. The City of Billings is within a half inch of its all-time seasonal record for snowfall, and 5.3 inches short of the all-time record. They have as much as 5 inches of new snow forecast for this Sunday. This info is relevant to anyone planning activities in Yellowstone National Park, particularly the northern portion, in May through July.
