fire is what keeps the Pines the Pines. Without it they would disappear. Unless it is a very, very hot fire the trees live on and the fire, and only fire, releases the pine seed to start new ones. Next spring there will be a dramatic contrast where the burns were; bright green against black.
621 homes evacuated, no injuries, all 4 fires now contained with 1 new one starting today. It's spring, it's what happens around here.
