I'd have to say that this is one of the craziest summers in the park in a long time. Along with all of the Covid issues, visitors are dealing with the various temporary road closures in addition to the planned construction closures. Makes me glad I cancelled my 2020 trip scheduled for this month.

Water main break near Mammoth, Lone Star fire closure of the GLR and now the long cleanup of the tanker spill closing that section of the GLR. The next time I'm in the park I'll sign up for the text messages about road conditions so I don't find myself surprised by a closure.

If the story is true that the tanker accident happened because an RV pulled out in front of the tanker truck, I wonder if that person has any idea of the havoc he/she has caused.
