Dan M.,

There is a very high probability that I will run that event again. I still have quite a few of the OUTSTANDING brochures the Forest Service gave me to hand out at the activity. I didn't even know they existed until I saw a couple on a rack in the West Yellowstone Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center. I contacted the FS folks in Missoula, and they kindly sent me all sorts of great collateral created around the events of the Summer of 1877. There is an entire series of 8 or 10 brochures, each one keyed to one of the locations where notable events happened, like the Battle of the Big Hole and the area in the Bear Paw Mountains where the eventual surrender took place. It is now officially known as the Nez Perce National Historic Trail, engineered for interested people to do a driving trip, visiting the various locations.

I like conducting it in August, and specifically around the anniversary of the major events in Yellowstone, roughly between August 23rd and the end of the month. It would have to be on a weekend, preferably a Saturday, because I am working on weekdays.

It has been long enough since that first time I ran the event that we have literally hundreds of Members who have not had the opportunity to participate. (We have 680 Members at present, and continue to grow over time.) Looking at the calendar, it would likely be either August 21st or 28th.
