Steve was moved to a rehab facility closer to where they live.
Last I heard from my sister, he was progressing. Still unsteady on
his feet, but getting there little by little. Thank God.

Last time I wrote, we were on our last full day in Tucson.
Probably one of my most enjoyable days. Spent all morning sitting
outside and watching/photographing the birds. Later in the day, we
went shopping at Mac's Indian Jewelry. It was about a half hour
away. I'd go back there again if I revisited Tucson. Nice people
and decent prices. Iffy neighborhood. Ha! I picked up a pretty
cross pendant. We spent the rest of the day just relaxing at the
casita. We revisited the animals on the ranch and just enjoyed the
surroundings.

On our last day, we were up early and headed to Phoenix. Once
there, we met up with David/Whereduck and his two sweet boys at the
Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden. Spent a couple hours there and
then we headed out to find some lunch. Ended up at Lolo's Chicken
and Waffles. :) Let me just say that Dennis and I are still
talking about that one. Hahaha! It was great. There was about a
1/2 hour wait and every time the door would open, a wonderful smell
came out.

At the airport, we met up with a young girl (7th grader) who sat
with us on the way down. She was the sweetest thing. Well, when
she saw us, she came over and gave me a hug. So sweet. Dennis
asked if we should save her a seat and she said yes. She sat with
us and her Mom and Dad were behind us. She even walked down to
baggage claim with us. Wonderful young lady.

So, now we are home and watching Ryan and Ashley's dogs while they
are in Riviera Maya. Brats! LOL! The first trip back to the park
to walk the dogs was Sunday. The other gate attendant that I work
with asked if I had a good time. I said yes and she said "Good,
because while you were away, this place went to h*ll", and she
wasn't just kidding. Rough there at the moment. Going to be a
looooong summer. Really long unless something major changes.
Blah!

Here's a preview of my photos. It'll take a while to weed through
them all with being at Ryan's and running back and forth from there
to work.

While in Tucson, I really fell in love with the Gambel's Quail. I
laughed every time they'd come waddling across the yard. We even
had quail babies. The last day there, I guess they got used to me
being there with the camera and this one decided to hop up on the
rock and strike a pose for me. Might just be my favorite photo of
the trip since it makes me smile.

Thanks for all the help prior to the trip and for your prayers for
my brother-in-law. Both meant a lot to me.

Now, let's see if I can remember how to link a photo.
