We were one of the ones that were evacuated from Yellowstone on
June 13. We found out at 3:30pm that we had to leave.
The employees of Lake Lodge and the Rangers did an awesome job, as
they did not know what was happening either. The power was out
already, working on generators.
We were lucky enough to find a place in Jackson in our price range
for the night. One of the motels that you pass on your way into
Jackson, RAISED the prices as we were talking to them on the phone,
well, all those from Yellowstone need a place to stay. I told them
they were just being GREEDY.
We had 5 more days in Yellowstone that we had to bagged, so we
headed home 6 days early.
The new menu at Lake Lodge cafeteria, SUCKS.
They removed the prime rib and fish, now is a burger and chicken
joint.
Breakfast was yuck, french toast sticks, no eggs.
The manager told me he doubts they will have eggs this year.
