I'm not sure I posted all of that on Facebook. It's a little more private here. There are more details in my response to Dan M.
I hope you & Bruce are both doing well! No more falls, I hope. The last time mom fell was in Gardiner at our hotel walking in the door. Before that it was out in the yard bending over to pick rhubarb. I honestly lose track. She's supposed to be using a walker, but it's all I can do to get her to use a cane! Stubborn like Mother Goose was. She's gotten so weak that she can't always get herself up. Depends on where she falls. We've only had to call 911 for a lift assist once. She was outside & I use a walker in the house (VERY painful) and couldn't get out to where she was. She was so embarrassed. She has one of those buttons you wear for when she goes into the yard now. As you can probably guess...getting her to wear it is another problem!!!
Anyway, we're getting by. Sometimes life can be a real struggle. But without my Aunt Mary's help I don't know what we'd do. She made Yellowstone possible for us. Last Oct and this May. She drives her van, helps me, caries all the bags into the rooms. And she's a Saint at home here, too.
We hire someone to come in & do basic cleaning every other week. And someone to mow and someone else to shovel. It's expensive, but mom won't even entertain the idea of moving. It's a daunting task to think about but this house has the laundry I'm the basement. She's GOING to fall on those stairs. She comes up practically on her hands & knees!
Anyway. Enough about us.i hope you & Bruce are well. Staying upright I hope! Sometimes that's the best we can do on certain days. :)
