I hit age 62 and BAM, all federal lands FEE FREE! Hiking Mt. Whitney, Half Dome, campsites, etc., lottery wins. No old school spontaneous trips anymore, unless you're in Idaho.
I'm absolutely lovin' my RZR for wilderness adventures, gonna start doing more of it. In fact, I'm seriously considering getting a huge 12'x16' canvas lodge tent (Kodiak) with an 8'x8' entrance addition, wood burning stove, Starlink, electric off-grid fridge, large solar generator, etc., and spending months in the forests creating amazing content, often with Gabe and sometimes Garrett (he's still in high school) with visits from Lauri. National Forests have 2 week max stays so I'd move around every couple of weeks and have the RZR and canoe/kayak/float tubes for fishing, take our Blackstone grill and Ooni oven and dutch ovens and also do wilderness cooking content. And feature guests such as Dan M. and do night hikes with light sabers.
