Though Columbia isn't *exactly* greater Nashville, it's close enough...
I'm sure you've already learned that the heat and humidity combination is brutal in this part of the country. I went outside yesterday morning around 8 a.m. and was soaked in sweat by 8:05. That's just the reality of the situation.
The quality of life is outstanding, things move a little slower here than in the big city, and there's not as much noise all the time either.
My sister moved to the Chattanooga area a couple of years ago and they love it over there as well. I could live in Tennessee if they didn't have that stupid orange college in Knoxville!
Holler at me when you come this way, I'd love to meet up for a bit if we can work it out.
