And most importantly "August 26th is celebrated globally as International Dog Day (also known as National Dog Day), a day founded in 2004 by animal advocate Colleen Paige to honor all dogs, promote adoption, encourage responsible pet ownership, and raise awareness for the welfare of shelter dogs. The date commemorates the day Paige adopted her first dog at the age of 10." Not to be forgotten.
