"Are you alive and well ."...I wondered, and wonder, as I wander, also. As the patrons of the this page do. pg
"Thanks for the link .".......my thanks too. Now I know that she still avoided being eaten by bears in Yellowstone.pg
MEET KAYLA
Born in Denver, Colorado in 1956, Kayla Michael learned camping and fishing skills from her father, and loved it. In time, she backpacked all over the mountains of the west, by herself."
That's the Kayla I remember....from a long time ago and a land far away.pg
But it wasn't just the mountains of the west. She did swamp tromps also. And she beguiled a few Floridians while she was at it. Part of her legend. How she laughed when she saw the sign in the Everglades National Park declaring that where she was standing was a "pass" at exactly ten feet above sea level. A mere nothing when compared to the Tetons, Thoroughfare, Electric Peak, etc. The message I posted was to extend my admiration for this remarkable person, her life, adventures, and her many shared stories about proving you can, as Murie tells us, look up, look down, look all, around, and find adventure and comfort. Even if the pass is a mere ten feet high.
