This morning Steve's brother posted this on Facebook:

I'm Dan, Steves brother.
I've got some really bad news.
Steve was killed in a car wreck this morning on I-70 by Lake St. Louis. I don't know how or exactly what the circumstances were. Rest in peace my little brother. I will definitely miss you the rest of my life.
