That some major projector part needed repair or replacement and the cost, although in reason, wasn't justified by the revenue. In short, maybe big movie screens are not "IN" any longer.
So the owner plans on expanding the trailer park in the new open space.
Now that the building has been demolished it will undoubtedly be impossible to replace locally.
Maybe IMAX is akin to the surround screen popular in the 1960's. The original movie for that type theater was "HOW THE WEST WAS WON." First one I saw was in St.Louis but it too ended as matching all the screens in a circle was not all that impressive.
But in IMAX, "Yellowstone" and the feature on "Wolves" was daunting (except for the short take of ten mountain men shooting into a tent where a grizzle bear was making a mess.
I guess now, we have to watch tourons kidnap baby bisons for real life adventure.
