You should come back in about six weeks. The Peanut Festival is a big deal down here and it takes place the first full week of November. We're nuts about peanuts.
Related, about twenty miles west of here, in a town called Enterprise, there's a monument to the boll weevil. That little insect changed the economy of the region many years ago, causing local farmers to switch from producing cotton, to producing peanuts. It's in the middle of the main intersection in downtown.
Unrelated, Fort Rucker is the home of Army aviation. Nearly every helicopter pilot that serves in the Army, received their initial training at Fort Rucker, located between Dothan, Ozark and Enterprise. We see LOTS of Army helicopters around here, every day.
