I've been hoping to get an image similar to the impressive eagle pictures I've been seeing on facebook. To that end (and because it was a GORGEOUS day) we went for a drive. Yesterday, there were over 100 eagles reported at Branched Oak Lake SRA, about 90 miles from here.

Still didn't get the image I wanted, but had an enjoyable day with family.

First thing we saw at the lake were these seagulls. Next thing were the eagles flying right overhead... about three of them. I turned on my camera... walked to an open space... and saw eagles in trees on both sides of me.... at the very end of the range of my lens. We stood for quite awhile hoping for another flyover... nope.
