Hi Fellow Loons--been off-line for quite a while. Nice to be back.

Six days in the park were glorious. Weather perfect, though I suspect the unusual
warmth made animals go higher and stay in the shade, as the viewing of elk and
deer was limited. Would you believe we saw NOT ONE COYOTE!? Grizz twice,
black bears everywhere. Well, no, but lots of 'em. One funny moment: Huge bear
jam just west of Petrified Tree, and I tbiknobears at all. The ranger called it a
"Wishful Bear Jam." Teehee. Also lovely to say goodbye to Rick McIntyre one
afernoon in Silver Gate; he gave a sweet talk about wolf family life.
