Uh, took a little trip up to the Stone end of June. No
Bears, wolves or moose but lots of other stuff.
Went to canyon and offered anyone who wished a look at the ospreys through Bronco's scope.(The rule is: you're welcome to look but if they bring in a fish it's our scope.) The babies were really cute. Saw a fox coming in from West. 3 bald eagles including an eagle eating a fish on the shore of Yellowstone Lake. 3 coyotes. Lots of bison and calves. Elk were scattered but frequent sites. Some bluebirds.a couple of herons. A heron rookery on the Yellowstone River. Fed stoneflies to the fish at the rapids.
Saw Pink Cone, Ledge, Vixen, Grand, Daisy, Beehive, Cliff, and a number of smaller geysers. Weather was HOT and dry. My rotten health means I didn't do as much as I would have liked but it was fun after so long. Dave Grigg
