Well, you might just be getting "old". Most of us curmudgeons hanging out on this place of refuge from Facebook are "chronologically challenged". Actually, I am a "recovering Facebook participant". The fact that you talk of being done with Facebook shenanigans "for awhile", and speak of lurking "in here for a bit", bespeaks your conflict. You may not be ready to totally write off Facebook. Mr. Gump does administer a 12 Step program for those who are truly ready to make the leap. It includes an AARP membership card!
Do you remember our conversations in Hayden Valley regarding relationships? How many miles have we traveled since then, both temporally and theoretically? I am very happy for you, and hope that this relationship is everything you were searching for.
You may or may not be aware of my change in status. I remarried 4 years ago, and relocated to Alaska 3 years ago. I've still got lots of ties to Bozeman and Yellowstone, and will return there eventually.
My migration to Yellowstone country started with my large telecommunications company zapping my boss and his boss, along with a bunch of other people back in 1997. It was a hostile takeover by another line of business, and the ensuing environment was intolerable. I've never regretted pulling the plug after 18.5 years with them. My life has been a technicolor adventure post-corporate America!
Do you still have the naturephotos e-mail address, or are you about to resurrect it? I have great respect for your photographic prowess. Once you get your website up and running again, let us know. I'm a fan!
I've been working on a website for over a year. In the pursuit of quality bison photos for it, I keep having to fly to Bozeman, and head to Yellowstone. I will be doing it once more in late August/early September. Hopefully, this will result in what I am really searching for. I didn't realize how the photos would look on a website until I actually started the development. It totally rewrote my direction.
If AT&T tries to "bring you back", bargain hard, and don't settle for anything exploitative. I've seen several of my old cronies negotiate some killer deals. If the supply and demand tables are tilted in your favor, you can get a sweet deal.
