We didn't do our annual trip this summer :-(
It just didn't work out financially and with my job. Sure hope to get back to the park next year, though.
Son, Rob, did go. He spent a month out west. He climbed the Grand and Teewinot. Brother, Steve, joined him for a couple of weeks after Scout camp was over for him (he worked at the camp near Munising). Both boys met up with daughter, Carolyn, and did a 9 day backpacking trip in the Beartooths. The boys also spent 4-5 days in the Thorofare with a couple of friends. They saw an ENORMOUS grizzly back in there!
I don't know if Rob will get around to posting photos here on the LZ. He has been sharing some on Facebook, if you're there.
Oh...and the hideous cutoffs have FINALLY been retired! Getting caught in a torrential downpour in them on a hike in 2013 - and getting really cold and uncomfortable - was the last straw for them :-)
