In the end I have numerous reservations, because as the website slowly came back to life, I got past the payment page, then when the confirmation came up, it said Mammoth Hotel, which is NOT what I booked. So I did again in case the issue was mine (can always cancel the erroneous rez), and it came up Mammoth again. Yellowstone Girl saw my plight on Facebook and noted that the system did that to everyone who had ever previously stayed at Mammoth, so we booked again (Lake Lodge) using my husband's name and it worked. So now I have at least three sets of reservations, I'll wait until things calm down next week to tackle fixing them. What a total nightmare for the people who work in reservations to have to deal with a system that betrays their best efforts!
PS Why is it an east coast advantage?
