Pat,

That is an entertaining compilation. It brings back precious memories of my first Yellowstone visit in 1967. The roadside bears were the most striking component of the experience, even eclipsing the geysers and waterfalls. Weening the bears from human food was admittedly hard on the bears, but it also had a profound effect on park visitors, who were so habituated to seeing roadside bears. I have vivid memories of the complaining behavior of visitors in the 1970s, and the p/r campaign waged by the NPS to try and explain the rationale behind the new bear management strategies.

Thanks for putting this together, and sharing it with the rest of us.
