Ralph,
I just bailed halfway through the third installment. They were covering the release of a great horned owl in Bozeman by a raptor recovery center. Now there's something unique to Yellowstone, that hardly happens anywhere else. Yeah, right!
Then there was the feature about a dog named Orbee, who supposedly has a super sensitive nose. Yup, that's real relevant to Yellowstone. I have not heard of any research or management activity in Yellowstone requiring dogs that can sniff out bear or moose droppings. Now, they could have done a piece on Karelian Bear Dogs, which would at least be relevant to Glacier, or Collette Daigle-Berg's cadaver dog, which was used to find human remains in Yellowstone. If you can't put together 4 total hours (with commercials) on the 2.2 million acres that comprise Yellowstone National Park, you might as well hang it up.
I hope you have a great trip up north, and your son can fully participate.
