He knew his stuff, and when he didn't he still let you know he knew it. Awesome guy, would help you in a heartbeat no matter who you were. Stubborn as all get out but that makes a character out of a guy. He wasn't someone who quietly hung out in the back. He was always in it. We shared very similar world views, which meant he was right on. I was so saddened hearing about this death, it seemed out of the blue, he was like an old oak that you didn't think would succumb to anything. He's one of the handful of Loons I've actually met. Booming voice, reminded me of a cattle driver, a fascinating character. We'll meet again, I'm sure of it.
