Major construction at Roosevelt site.

What's worse, road expansion stakes are out for Roosevelt all the way into Little America.

Looks like Wrecker Point may soon join the settlement of Cinnabar as history.

Water is very low in the Park. Phantom Lake is truly a phantom. Yellowstone is running slow and clear. repair equipment is heavy into and out of the Park. Dust is moderate. Migration is appearing with grosbeaks, yellowheaded BB, juncos, house finch, pinyon jays appearing for matinee shows.

The damage to sage and roadside caused by the wolfie groups is significant. Look for more pullouts to be constructed. Problem is: Where?

The new Sinclair outside of town is impressive---when compared to what used to be. The mechanics are skilled and the degree of "fix-it" is impressive when compared to the old days.

Upper Terrace drive still closed as of three days past. Swan flats is flooded as expected. Interesting side bar is that trumpeter swans are now common again. Canyon snow is deep and the icicles at the rest stop are worth the show.

Wolves held a concert at the Ranger Museum meadow last week.

Elk.antelope, bison all trekking into the park and road jams are to be expected. Washburn road is a washout. No passage for a year. Bummer. Great flower show up there. Another curiosity. The various bluebird, woodpecker holes in the Park signage posts are filled with cement or covered over.

Summation: Not a good year for Yellowstone. Try the Everglades.
