Its been a year since I posted on this subject. We ended up going up on Buffalo Plateau. Lots of different wildflowers below the trailhead well before the bridge. My 15 year old niece is going with me again this year and that's her thing. She has never hiked Mt Washburn so that's one hike we will do. Any other suggestions are always welcome.
