On Facebook one can block or unfriend anybody that rubs one wrong. I think that has been mentioned as one reason people prefer it over this old style forum. Here, one is exposed to one or two people who might rub one wrong without the ability to block them. On Facebook one is exposed to potenially dozens, even hundreds, depending the group, of people who will go out of their way to rub others wrong. As raucous as this place used to be, it felt more like home than Facebook ever has. Maybe some people prefer that though.
