I came across the actual footage of the 1923 Birdseye Survey of the Colorado River through the canyon. It's about 30 minutes long on YouTube.
My impressions were that these guys were gutsy and it was hard to believe that they all survived. The other interesting thing was the river rose 20 feet in one night after some storms.
Fun to watch something filmed 100 years ago.
