However a change as massive as this will only be accomplished gradually over the course of a generation or two. Try to push this big a change in our society to hard and/or to fast, no matter how beneficial it could be, and folks will dig in their heels. Its just human nature. Patience grasshopper. Change will happen. Maybe not in our lifetime, but it will happen. Until it does, enjoy the benefits of an oil-based society instead of worrying over what bad thing probably won't ever happen. Yet remain vigilant in protecting those sacred natural places when someone tries to take them (and they will try).
