We got there just as the Visitor Center was closing, but still had time to find the post.. and walk the grounds.

The buildings all faced inward on 3 sides of a square. The fourth side of the square is a bluff overlooking the Missouri River (or rather, where the river USED to be. It seems to change course frequently.. or did.)
