some swallows have a way to go ;-)
At one of the torreylets at Hitching Post a couple of weeks ago
Yesterday at Artist's Point, when we arrived around 9:30 we didn't have to wait to get a parking spot. When we left about 10:45 the unmoving line waiting for parking spots extended about 30 cars beyond the parking lot towards the main road.
Hayden was peaceful; wonderful picnic at Bridge Bay, plenty of tables, your choice of sun or shade, by the bay with a view of the bridge to watch the boats of all sizes come and go.
Northern Range seemed to have a lot of cars heading both east and west (perhaps now that the Beartooth highway is reliably open) but not too many parked in the middle of the road, driving around on the sage, driving 55 mph or 15 mph, or belly up in a gully (all of which have been previously observed this spring).
Very little wildlife other than big herds of bison and a courting pair of black bears at Lower Hellroaring.
Funny how different the experience of two visitors can be.
Nice day nonetheless.
