This last summer was fun for us despite Covid and wildfires and ugly
politics. We spent a full month camping up on our property in the
foothills which was awesome (society didn't appeal to us, still
doesn't, during this Covid crud), then we headed off for a month in
our toy hauler with a primary destination of Mt Rushmore. I had
never been there and more importantly neither had the wife and kids,
so we went. I had serious concerns it would be defaced during all
that was/is going on with cancel culture. It was even more awesome
than we expected and ended up staying a full week there. Loved the
Black Hills too, and South Dakota in general! Awesome state! Then
we went back via Devils Tower in WY, dug for dino fossils in
Thermopolis and the boys found a significant fossil that went into
the books, went to the Tetons, Yellowstone (fun pulling a 42' toy
hauler through Yellowstone, ha ha!),then through Idaho.
This drone footage is mostly of the upper Green River in WY, Salmon
River ID, and Stanley Lake, ID. I haven't edited much of the
footage. Plans are for the boys and me (between Garrett's travel
baseball team games) to get a serious wilderness adventure channel
going this summer. I'll be out practicing with my camera gear in the
meantime! This video is unlisted, non-monetized, so I'm not gonna
shake you for a few pennies, ha ha!
